Volume 57 - The LOZI: A New Frontier
July-August 2008
From Our Desk
This edition of the HeartCry magazine contains many demonstrations of the grace of God working through the weakness of men. We have reports from the field, as well as the testimony and calling of our most recent missionaries. This is a very special issue in that it highlights the new work among the unreached Lozi people of southwest Zambia. We hope and pray that you are blessed and encouraged with all the Lord is doing though you.
A View From the Field
Read the highlights taken from the many field reports we receive each month. They provide a small glimpse into the daily activities of our missionaries on the field, and afford us the opportunity to pray specifically for those who labor in some of the most remote parts of the world. Israel, Lebanon, and Peru are highlighted in this edition.
Facing South
A poetic account of true conversion.
The Lozi: A New Frontier
Sean Reece is the HeartCry coordinator for Africa. He has pastored for 15 years and is currently preparing to go as a church planter to the unreached Lozi tribe of Zambia. A great open door is before us. We must not be disobedient to the heavenly vision.
The Cross of Christ
We must understand that we have not fully proclaimed the death of Christ with saving power until we have cleared away the confusion that surrounds it and expounded its true meaning to our hearers - He died bearing the transgressions of His people, and suffering the divine penalty for their sins. He was forsaken of God and crushed under the wrath of God in their place.
Conversion and Calling
Meet our new missionaries in Israel, India, and Peru. Michael “Misha” Karpovetzki is serving alongside Antony Simon, Leonid Banchik, and the rest of the Voice in the Wilderness team in the country of Israel. Sib Sankar Mahakal is serving among the Hindus in West Bengal, India. Segundo Gonzales is serving in the city of Chiclayo, an important costal city in the country of Peru.
