Dr. Andrew is a church planter in the Middle East. He and his wife have been called to build up and equip the Arabic speaking churches in the Muslim world by teaching them the Bible and mobilizing them to plant indigenous churches among difficult-to-reach Arab communities.
Dear brothers and sisters: A quick look at the situation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) reveals a diverse picture of countries that live in devastating civil war and violence like Syrian, Iraq, Yemen, and Libya. Other countries are experiencing political challenges after the fall of the ruling governments during the “Arab Spring” and the rise of the Muslim brotherhood. On top of that, the population of Christians has been greatly diminishing as many Christians have fled their homes because of violence and persecution. These factors and many others have made MENA one of the most challenging places in the world for missionaries to serve in.
Despite the struggling economy and the growing violence in MENA, the church continues to be God’s light in the midst of darkness. All reports from the field show that the church of MENA is continually advancing. We have experienced people from a variety of backgrounds coming to faith, resulting in a shift in the previous trends – more new believers are now coming from a Muslim background. Instead of seeing new church buildings being built, we see more and more underground churches being planted. Believers are meeting in secret all across the Muslim world.
Today, I am writing this letter on behalf of the HeartCry team in the Middle East to personally thank you for your love, prayers, and sacrificial giving. Your generous gifts have helped the Arabic-speaking church to impact the lives of Muslims and spread the true gospel of Christ among unreached groups. This year we have been able to plant new churches, teaching the Bible to many new believers, sharing Christ with many Muslims, helping many refugee families, empowering the faith community in various restricted and hostile nations, and baptizing many new believers.
Thank you again for your love and support, and please know that we will keep lifting you before the throne of our Father.
Brother Fikret pastors a growing congregation in a major city in Turkey. He is also involved in translating sound literature in the Turkish language.
Dear HeartCry: We are so thrilled to be able to work with you in the translation ministry for the country of Turkey. Most of the sound theological books that are available in Turkey have been made available because of your support.
The country of Turkey, with its 99.9% Muslim population, is still the largest unevangelized nation on earth. Though there are now five thousand visible Muslim background believers in Turkey, there is still very little sound theological teaching. But with HeartCry’s help we have been able to translate dozens of books and articles that are helping believers to grow in the knowledge of Scripture, and through Scripture to know God intimately. Your work has been invaluable in the growth of these resources.
We have a huge task before us: to make the gospel known in Turkey and to grow new converts into strong and mature believers. The availability of the resources we have translated is a huge part of this task. We believe that the future advance of the gospel and of solid biblical teaching in Turkey will one day be traced back to the significant work of HeartCry in translating these books. Surely these resources will have long-lasting consequences in the life of many churches and individual believers.

Dear friends, Shalom: Peace to you in our Lord Jesus! Kind greetings from Israel! We thank you sincerely for your prayers for our country and for the Israelis, specifically “for their salvation” (Romans 10:1). God is faithful and He answers prayer! We can testify that the Body of the Messiah is growing in our country. The Lord opens new hearts to His grace in Jesus.
Thank you for your faithful prayers for our ministry, for participating in our needs, and for your care. The love of God is seen in you and this encourages us all.
Though there remains opposition from rabbinical Judaism and anti-missionary organizations, the Lord is blessing the gospel in our land and is revealing new opportunities for us to reach people. For several years we have published booklets and other literature on the subject of the gospel. This is a wonderful opportunity to find new contacts with unbelievers whom we meet in the streets. We invite them to our meetings and visit them.
The budget of our church is modest. However, the Lord sent you to us. You are wonderful friends whose support helps us in many ways. One of the ways it helps us is by publishing gospel literature and books for discipleship. We see that your financial help is a direct response to God’s call of “contributing to the needs of the saints” (Romans 12:13). Thank you! Praise the Lord for you!
Please, pray for the spiritual growth of believers in Israel, for teaching and preparing leaders for ministry, for planting new churches, and for the salvation of the lost. We need your prayers.
Our dear friends, we also continue to pray for you, your churches, your ministry, and the salvation of those who are near you.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (I Thes. 5:28)

Dear brothers and sisters! I am warmly grateful to you for the financial help that you give to HeartCry. I can truthfully say that, “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all,” (Philippians 1:3-4).
Your help and prayers help me very much in my service to Jesus in two specific (protected) congregations. I feel support from your prayers daily. I conduct tours of evangelism in areas where often there are trials, but I know that you pray for me and that God is always with me! By your prayers, the Lord has given me safety and strength in service.
