George serves as a missionary in Stoienesti, Romania, where he evangelizes and works with youth. He started the church in Stoienesti in 2007 and has developed other missions in the area. George’s outreach has included developing a social project in Stoienesti for feeding, clothing, and providing medicine for the poor. He and his wife Dana have two daughters.
We thank God for the help that He gave us this month. As workers, we sometimes feel lonely and discouraged; but we know that God is with us in every moment of our lives, because He promised that He would never leave us. When we realize this, we receive the strength to get over any obstacles we encounter. Our eyes must be directed toward Christ, and whatever we do, we must do it for His glory. When our gaze is turned toward us, we lose sight of the purpose for which we exist. We live to bring glory to God, and we must have this in mind in everything we do.
This month we had two conferences that have greatly helped our mission team. The first conference was on the process of church planting, and the second conference focused on the teamwork that is needed. This kind of equipping is necessary for all the members of our mission team, because we want to do God’s work with efficiency and ensure that every missionary on our team is in the right place.
We also organized an event with my wife and the women of the village this month. We invited a lady speaker from Alba Iulia. It was a great joy for all the women who participated; they were able to hear encouraging words, especially regarding God’s desire for their salvation.
I also continued this month with the “Gospel in Every Home” project. The goal is to visit every house in Stoienesti and to proclaim the Gospel to every person. We thank God for the strength that He gives us to carry out this ministry. We estimate that it will take a full year to reach the entire city as well as the neighboring village. No matter how long it takes, the people will have the opportunity to hear God’s Word.
In one of our recent Sunday morning meetings, a man came to the church for the first time. After the sermon, I spoke with him, and he expressed his desire to follow Jesus. During the week, I visited him at his home to talk again. He told me that he had spoken to his children and had given his life to Jesus. He said that he wanted to follow Him. Pray for this man, that he might better understand God’s Word and that fruit would be brought forth in his life.
Also pray for two of the young people who attend our Saturday meeting; they have expressed a desire to be baptized this year.
