Here is an update on what the Lord has been doing among us, in the last few weeks, and what lies ahead, for which we would value your prayers. Sunday morning services see us working through the first of John’s epistles. In days when there is so much pressure on God’s people to compromise and change, this book is invaluable. Pastor Tobias has just finished taking the church through the p... Keep Reading

This is a unique work in that not only has the church seen much growth, but there are also many opportunities for church planting in the surrounding areas. Various groups of believers have been asking them for help in becoming healthy churches. For this reason, the Macedonia Project was born. In the following video, Pastor David Barcello gives a brief histor... Keep Reading

The Reformation: 500 Years Later - Rediscovering the Message that Changed the World and is Still Changing the World TodayIt has been said of Sweden that it has one of the fastest de-Christianization rates in the world. We don’t know how they come to those conclusions, but statistically one evangelical church is closing down every week and there’s no indication that this trend is going to change. During my visits, I also met two teachers and talked to them about different things such as the educational system in our country and the changes that take place.  They attended the Orthodox church and knew the creed. I started talking to them about God and we got to the problem of sin. I asked them how they believed that all those ethical problems in our society could be avoided. They admitted that God was the an... Keep Reading

Child Like Faith

Our Gypsy missionaries and believers in Romania are often looked down upon by the general populace of Eastern Europe. And yet while the society shows contempt for them, there is a child like faith that is undeniable in their lives and labors.  Their sincerity of belief and simplicity of lifestyle are a beautiful picture of God's grace as not a few have to trust God for their daily bread. Baptism Big in Eastern Europe

Posted January 15, 2014  by: Don Currin |0 Comments

Unlike most evangelical churches in North America, baptism is tremendously significant among the saints of God and the secular culture in Eastern Europe.  When one identifies with Jesus Christ through the ordinance of baptism, he is publically declaring that he has died to the old life.  From that day forward he openly bears the name repenter, which is a fitting title for those who are new creatures in Christ. Often they are publically scorned, reproached and alienated by their relativ... Keep Reading

A Joyful Update from Eastern Europe

Greetings, and Merry Christmas! I hope this update of the work in Eastern Europe will bring you joy, and encourage to continue the hard work you do there. Moldova and Ukraine Mission Tour During March 2013, we had our Moldavian missionaries for the HeartCry conference with Brother Conrad, and Jeremy Walker. It is our hope and prayer that you and all those you love and hold dear are well! He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Praise the Lord, for He is good, for his mercy endures forever (Psalm 118:1). There are so many opportunities to share the Word that I often have to say 'no'.  Who would have ever... Keep Reading
