News Letter from Tumma Komang (From Unknown Location in Asia)
If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot (Jeremiah 20:9). We are greatly thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ because: We have the privilege to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in planting a Baptist church in K.__, and we are given the opportunity to do student outreach and discipleship at the university, we are able to use our God-given talents to do film-making as our platform and as the means of evangelism. Recently, we had a recent visitation and fellowship with our parents and relatives that visited from for several days.
At the beginning of June, we praise God for changing the Sunday service location from the church every week to having service at the U__ prison twice a month. We fit our Sunday worship time with the K__ prison’s schedule. We are thankful to God to be able to serve the Sunday service in two different prisons in S.S. We are praying that all the prisoners will come to know the Lord through the ministry He has entrusted to us. We are thankful to have started our first Sunday school for the children in June. Our two nephews and our team partner’s son were the first three students to attend.
God willing, we will do visitation ministry and outreach to a mental hospital, regular hospital, senior housing and orphanage. We will also start a bible study ministry at the prisons. We are praying that those college students that met with us can join us in all of these ministries. Film-Making As The Platform With the film platform and making a short film, we are praying that the Holy Spirit would lead us to witness Christ in our real life and also through verbally sharing the Word of God to the film crew, cast, and government workers. As well as the communities of our filming location, etc. We are trying to help develop this film business in wedding/engagement videos and photos and open the job field for film crew (12 people) because K__ is such a small city that it is hard to find jobs.
